Secondary Infertility

The management of secondary infertility is generally the same as that of a couple that has never before given birth, although the list of causes is shorter. At the Fertility Partnership we will review the likely causes, work with you to plan out a diagnostic program and implement the program. Sometimes a surgery called laparoscopy is recommended to document newly formed adhesions or scar tissue. Often, a patient has gained weight over the years and acquired an ovulation problem. No matter the reason, what is common in couples with secondary infertility is the great degree of anguish resulting from the loss of the ability to conceive.

The number of children you want to make up your family is a deeply personal decision. The staff of the Fertility Partnership is here to help you realize your dream. We focus not only on resolving your physical issues but also helping you cope with the difficult emotions surrounding secondary infertility. Please talk freely with our staff about your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Our staff has been chosen specifically to address these concerns and help you find the resources you need to cope.
